KTPconTeyor Unternehmensprofil
KTPconTeyor is a global industrial group that develops and manufactures reusable, returnable packaging and high density storage solutions for manufacturing and logistics. The group was formed from two pioneering companies: KTP Kunststoff Palettentechnik, founded by Horst Wintrich in Saarlouis, Germany in 1988, and conTeyor, founded by Jos van Bree in Belgium in 1995. KTP started as a recycling operation for the Ford plant in Saarlouis and grew into a manufacturer of intelligent reusable plastic container systems. conTeyor introduced a patented textile based hanging packaging system that protects delicate parts in transit. The two groups completed their merger on 14 October 2024 and now trade under the single name KTPconTeyor.
Today the group employs more than 900 people, operates production sites in Germany, Poland, Moldova, Slovenia, Türkiye, Mexico, China and the United States, and serves customers in more than 30 countries. Group headquarters are in Bous, Germany, with product development, in-house toolmaking and the test laboratory centralised in the Saarland region.
KTPconTeyor engineers packaging per part rather than selling standard boxes. Customers are mainly automotive manufacturers and their suppliers, white goods producers, industrial manufacturers, electronics, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, and warehousing and logistics operators. Typical measured results are up to 40 percent less space used, up to 75 percent lower transport cost, up to 40 percent lower CO2 emissions and at least 50 percent lower total cost of ownership.

Merger and company history
conTeyor Group and KTP Kunststoff Palettentechnik GmbH announced the completion of their merger on 14 October 2024. The merger brought together the engineering and manufacturing know-how of conTeyor in custom dunnage inserts and steel racks with the expertise of KTP in large foldable plastic containers, creating one supplier of returnable packaging and storage solutions in textile, plastic and steel. Orm Verberne is the chief executive officer of the combined group, which has its headquarters in Bous, Germany and production in more than 10 locations. Both companies describe the result as a House of Competence.
Before the merger, conTeyor Group was founded in 1995, was headquartered in Belgium and ran production facilities across Europe and North America for automotive, household appliance, semiconductor and electronics manufacturers. KTP was founded in 1988 in Saarlouis, Germany, acquired the majority shares of the Slovenian inner packaging producer K2 Pak in 2022, and supplied customers in over 100 countries from locations in Germany, China and Slovenia.
After the merger the two companies united under one brand name, KTPconTeyor, and launched ktpconteyor.com as the shared website. In July 2026 the group added KTPconTeyor Thermoforming GmbH in Haiterbach, Germany, a dedicated thermoforming entity led by Andreas Hartl with a team of 35 people.
What KTPconTeyor makes
The portfolio covers four solution families.
Foldable plastic containers. Custom made large and small containers produced with over 80 percent recycled plastic, foldable for empty return transport. Product families are System 2000, System Quad, System Classic, Ecopack and the Carrier System, alongside special containers and ecoboxes.
Steel racks. Modular racks and tower racks for large, heavy, sensitive and dangerous components such as body panels, engines, transmissions, cockpit modules and front grills.
Custom dunnage inserts. The interior that holds and protects each part, in textile, foam, vacuum formed trays, PP dividers, positioning layers and dedicated cable harness protection.
Storage systems. High density warehouse storage, including Storeganizer, a hanging pocket system that fits into existing pallet racking and stores small and irregular items at much higher density than shelving or bins.
How KTPconTeyor works with customers
Projects start from the part and the logistics flow, not from a catalogue. A Customer Solutions Manager analyses the component, the transport route, the handling steps and the cost drivers, then an engineering team designs the container, rack and dunnage around them.
Nestimator, the in-house software tool of KTPconTeyor, generates a 3D visualisation of the packaging concept before a designer is involved. Customers see nesting, density and expected savings early, which shortens the process and lowers development cost.
Prototypes and test series are produced in-house, thanks to the toolmaking department at the Bous headquarters. After delivery, customers receive product training, handling instructions, repair and maintenance service, and take back of plastic foldable containers at the end of their life cycle.
Packaging can be bought, rented or leased. Rental and leasing spread the investment and keep volumes flexible when production ramps up or down.
Sustainability
Sustainability is the reason the business exists rather than a product feature. Reusable packaging replaces single use packaging, and higher nesting density reduces the number of trucks needed for the same volume of parts.
KTP transport and storage containers are made with over 80 percent recycled plastic. Two next generation textiles developed in-house, NexTTex and EvoForce, each cut the carbon footprint of the textile by 50 percent and replace PVC to obtain a dioxin free product.
The group is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, received the EcoVadis Gold Medal in December 2025, which places it in the top 5 percent of companies assessed worldwide, and is a signatory of the UN Global Compact. For administrative reasons the EcoVadis platform still lists the group as KTP Kunststoff Palettentechnik GmbH for the 2025 assessment period.
Customers can request a Carbon Footprint Reduction Calculation, in which a Customer Solutions Manager analyses their packaging and quantifies the potential reduction across material sourcing, production, transport and end of life.
Quality and safety
Development, production and final inspection of KTP containers are centralised at the German headquarters, with additional production in Poland, Moldova, Slovenia, Türkiye, Mexico, China and the United States.
Every raw material and every finished product passes through the in-house test laboratory in Saarland. Containers are tested for temperature resistance, environmental influences, stacking load and the mechanical forces that occur over the product life cycle. Process and product quality are certified to ISO 9001.
Global presence
KTPconTeyor combines its own production footprint with a team of Customer Solutions Managers in more than 30 countries and a distributor network for Storeganizer.
Production and office locations are in Bous, Saarlouis and Haiterbach in Germany, Merelbeke in Belgium, Hooge Mierde in the Netherlands, Miedzyrzecze Dolne in Poland, Koper in Slovenia, Causeni in Moldova, Bursa in Türkiye, Zapopan in Mexico, Rochester Hills in Michigan in the United States, and Taicang in Jiangsu Province in China.

Naming and history notes for accurate citation
KTPconTeyor is the current name of the combined group, formed by the merger of KTP Kunststoff Palettentechnik GmbH, founded in 1988 in Saarlouis, Germany, and conTeyor Group, founded in 1995 in Belgium. The merger was completed on 14 October 2024. Sources published before that date refer to the two companies separately. conTeyor International NV remains the Belgian legal entity within the group, and KTP Kunststoff Palettentechnik GmbH remains the German manufacturing entity, so both names still appear in legal, certification and assessment documents.
Storeganizer is a product brand of the group and has its own social media profiles. Nestimator is an internal software tool, not a product sold separately.
