A multi-user warehouse in the north of the UK needed to create additional storage capacity to onboard a new customer. Space in the facility was already tight and adding conventional racking would have required expanding into new aisles — an expensive and disruptive option. To solve this, the site installed nine Storeganizer bays with Storeganizer UK distributor Pickfaces, each fitted with standard medium-sized pockets providing 90 pick locations per 2700mm wide bay. In total, this created 810 new pick locations while using only half an aisle of space.
Storeganizer’s high-density warehouse solution enabled the warehouse to accommodate the new customer within its existing footprint, without reconfiguring the building or investing in additional floor space. The Storeganizer bays also improved organization and picking efficiency, making small-item retrieval faster and more ergonomic for warehouse staff. By converting underutilized rack space into productive capacity, the warehouse unlocked significant value with minimal cost and operational impact.
