Senior Designer / Application Engineer North America
YOUR ROLE: Identify customer needs & develop appropriate packaging solutions
- Design and Development:
- Design and develop innovative packaging solutions based on customer requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the customers and sales team during the implementation of packaging solutions.
- Business Acquisition Management
- Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure proper production and quality control processes with manufacturing teams.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Customer & cross-functional collaborations
- Collaborate with teams such as sales, production, procurement, and R&D to meet project objectives.
- Identify the best strategies to develop the marketplace for KTPconTeyor products (Textile- Plastics- Steel returnable packaging solutions).
- Work closely with customers to understand their packaging requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support in selecting auditable packaging solutions.
- Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, quality control and sales teams.
- Address technical challenges, incorporate feedback and optimize designs.
- Service as a technical resource for customers, sales teams and production staff.
- Assist with troubleshooting product or packaging issues.
- Feasibility studies
- Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed packaging solutions.
- Analyse material costs, manufacturing capabilities, transportation considerations, and environmental impacts.
- Continuous Improvement
- Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and industry best practices.
- Identify areas for improvement and explore innovative packaging techniques.
- Documentation and Communication
- Develop technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
YOUR PROFILE: Entrepreneurial Packaging Engineer
- Education
- You have a bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience
- You can act as a Senior Designer and help coach other design team members in NX, Packaging design and 3D modeling fundamentals and best practices.
- You have re-usable packaging design experience in our field of expertise with a competitor or packaging manufacturer.
- A previous experience as a steel rack design but preferably textile dunnage design and even rigid dunnage design is required.
- You have strong 3D modeling fundamentals – We will want to test your skill level using a real-world test in NX modeling.
- You have NX expertise, since we work in NX, and we are looking for someone that can help us in realizing design efficiencies using NX modules and automation.
