The challenge
HOX Gent faced the challenge of optimizing warehouse space while storing a highly atypical product. Shoe lasts have irregular shapes and do not fit standard packaging. This made traditional racking inefficient. As a result, valuable space was lost storing “air” around the products. The warehouse also needed a system with fixed, clearly identifiable locations. This was essential to reduce picking errors and improve accuracy. Our Belgian distributor Vanas took on the challenge to find a suitable solution.
The solution
Storeganizer was installed in the ground-level sections of the existing pallet racking. This allowed HOX Gent to maximize both height and depth. Previously unused space was now fully utilized. Each shoe last was given its own dedicated pocket. This created fixed and clearly defined storage locations. The structured setup improved picking accuracy and reduced search time.
The flexibility of Storeganizer made it ideal for irregular shapes. The system was configured to match the dimensions of the shoe lasts. This ensured secure and efficient storage.
Installation was quick and straightforward. It integrated seamlessly into the existing setup with minimal disruption. HOX Gent benefited from the system almost immediately.
The outcome
Storeganizer delivered a clear improvement in storage efficiency. Wasted space was transformed into usable capacity. Every centimetre is now used effectively.
